Documenting Community Histories

Lake of Bays has an incredible history. But if it is not documented it will fade with time. Each year the Foundation researches and records the history of a Lake of Bays community. We work with permanent and seasonal residents who live in the area to capture the history. They share lifetimes of memories and stories of many generations which we document in a booklet and video and feature at our Annual General Meeting. This work is led by our Community Heritage Committee and a dedicated group of volunteers. This year we are documenting the community of Wahawin.
