LBHF donates $1,000 to help restore Baysville’s original school house

The Lake of Bays Heritage Foundation donated $1,000.00 in November 2008 toward the restoration of the old school house as the parish hall at St. Ambrose Church in Baysville. The Board is delighted to see the project completed and hope this donation was helpful in achieving the overall fundraising target. The schoolhouse is believed to be the oldest building in Baysville.

LBHF honoured St. Ambrose with a heritage plaque several years ago and the Board members are pleased to recognize the work again with this donation.
