Campaign Success!
Happy New Year to our heritage supporters! Best wishes for happiness and health in 2012. The LBHF extends thanks to our many generous donors who helped us reach our $50,000 Land Conservation Fund matching campaign goal by December 31st. These funds help us manage the lands we currently protect and be prepared for opportunities in the future. This campaign was a great vote for heritage protection in Lake of Bays Township!
Our Results
- One mile of natural shoreline and 47-acres of forest at Port Cunnington preserved.
- Encouraged the Township to create a Heritage sub-committee of Council.
- 100-acre parcel of land acquired near Dwight on the Lower Oxtongue River with 5.5 KM of shoreline.
- More than two dozen buildings recognized for heritage value.
