2018 - Kerrimuir Road

Kerrimuir Road is 7 km east of Baysville on Hwy 117. Its history begins with the Brown family. In 1879, Duncan Brown, a farmer, who was from Islay Argyll, Scotland, and his wife Jessie (Currie), along with their eight children, settled on their entitled land in Rideout Township. They called their new land, Brown’s Brae, meaning side of hill. Brown’s Brae in relation to Kerrimuir Road is about three miles east, across from the Glenmount Road.
